When it comes to makeup, I'd like to think I'm a fairly simple girl. I moisturize, put on a couple dabs of foundation and under eye concealer (I have dark circles 99% of the time), some blush, eyeliner + mascara and I'm generally done. Despite all of that, I have received a few requests from some folks Tumblr to make a makeup tutorial of some sort. I was always hesitant, only because I honestly don't do very much and I would feel kind of silly making up some sort of "tutorial". But I decided making a quick make up routine video couldn't hurt. So here it is! Check below the video for some step by steps and the list of products I used.

I started off by using Aveda Botanical Kinetics moisturizer, L'oreal True Match foundation in Alabaster, and e.l.f. under eye concealer. I didn't record that part because it's kind of boring, and I'm sure you all know how that stuff works. I went on to use CoverGirl Fresh Complexion pocket powder, and CoverGirl blush. Next up I used Hard Candy eye shadow, and I used the lighter shade near my tear ducts to "brighten up my eyes" a bit. Then I used Revlon ColorStay eye liner and CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara. I added a little bit of definition to my brows with a basic CoverGirl eyebrow pencil, and ended with a quick brush of extra blush (I like to have very rosy cheeks). There you have it!

Hello! Very nice to meet you guys + thank you for following my new blog. I wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself, and hopefully you guys will comment and tell me a little about yourself too! Leave a link to your blog, Twitter, online shop, anything you want me to check out!

My name is Kaley, and I live in a cozy town in New Hampshire with my two pups, my chinchilla Oskar and my kitty Ramona. I'm currently in the process of finding a condo with my boyfriend Curtis, which is something I am beyond excited about. I've lived in New England my whole life, and while I don't plan on moving away anytime soon, I do love to travel.

During the day I work as an inn keeper at a bed + breakfast in the heart of my town. The building is a beautiful Victorian home built in the late 1800's, which attracts guests from all over the world. I cook and serve breakfast, clean rooms, book reservations, and bake desserts in the afternoons. It's a dream job for me, you'll never hear me complaining about going in to work.

By night, in addition to this little blog of mine, I run an online shop - Honey Pie Headbands. I've had the shop going for almost two years now, and it's something I thoroughly enjoy doing. From dreaming up designs, creating new pieces, to talking with customers,  I love it all. It's definitely a lot of work, but I put my heart into it and I think it shows. I'm always up for custom orders, so if you're ever in the market for a special hair accessory, I'm your gal!

When I'm not at the b+b, or workin' hard on new headband designs, I love to bake cookies, work on embroidery projects, go to craft stores and yard sales, read and play my ukulele. I'm a nerd at heart, I love Star Wars, video games, reading graphic novels, and playing a game with Curtis called "Who would you cast in this imaginary movie?" (our newest favorite is actually trying to figure out who should be cast as The Riddler in Dark Knight Rises, we've agreed on Michael C. Hall).

I think that's about it for now! If you ever have any questions for me, feel free to comment, or shoot me an email. I hope you enjoy following + reading my blog. I know I'm looking forward to growing and meeting inspiring bloggers, crafters and new friends!

I'm the kind of gal who is constantly crafting. Not only because I've made a business out of it, but because I love creating something from nothing. It's the personal touches you see in a handmade item, and the story behind it that really makes it special. In my free time, I skim through the pages of Etsy and I am always amazed by the talent and creativity that shows up on my computer screen. That's why I've decided that each Thursday I am going to do a feature on a different Etsy seller. This week I've chosen Ready Go.
Nadia of Ready Go Paper Studio creates the most adorable paper cake and cupcake toppers. It seems she specializes in wedding cake toppers, ranging from banners to personalized bride and grooms. A personal favorite of mine is the "Happy Birthday" topper photographed with delicious looking cupcakes. Everything Nadia makes is charming, and would surely make a special occasion even more memorable!

Let me know what you guys think of Nadia's Etsy shop, and share your own favorite handmade items, or even better, a shop you own yourself!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your week so far. I know I am! Yesterday was the My Chemical Romance / Blink-182 show, and I had so much fun. I had seen MCR earlier this year, and although this venue was 3x bigger, we were much closer to the stage (right in the pit!) this time around. Blink was incredible, as expected. I'm just a little bummed out because I still can't hear anything out of my right ear, I'm hoping that goes away at some point today. As far as Wednesdays go, I'm thinking I will do "What I Wore" posts. I wanted to wear something cute, but it was going to be raining so I also wanted to stay dry and warm (luckily we were under a big roof during the actual show). This outfit did the trick!

Hello friends! This is my very first blog post ever. I am still mapping out a weekly schedule (as you can see, today is "Mobile Monday"). Do any of you have suggestions for things they'd like to see on a weekly basis in addition to regular updates? Let me know! From now on, Mondays will be a day to post photos from my week - all taken from my phone. It'll be a little glimpse into my day to day life. I hope you like them!

1) My first day at my second job. 2) Some "light" reading at Barnes & Noble.
3) Cute lil' cherry tomatoes. 4) Juicy tomatoes from the garden at the b&b.
5) My adorable boyfriend, Curtis. 6) Modeling a new apron at the b&b.

Thanks for lookin'! I will be back tomorrow with something new for you guys.
